525g / 18.52oz broken into florets Broccoli, a sprinkle grated Mild cheese
Preparation
1. Steam 525g / 18.52oz broken into florets Broccoli for 5-10 minutes with the lid on until soft. Reserve the liquid. 2. Blend the cooked Broccoli in a food processor or using a hand-blender until smooth. Use a little of the reserved cooking liquid or baby milk to thin it out to the correct consistency. 3. Strain it through a sieve to remove any fibrous bits. 4. If adding, sprinkle grated Mild cheese over now. Allow to cool.

Good to know
Introduce broccoli a little later in the weaning process to avoid gas. Cauliflower, beans, fresh peas, and asparagus can be cooked similarly but may also cause gas. Hold back before introducing them and remember to strain the puree.
