Ingredients

- 250g / 9oz Dried pasta
- 2 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 crushed Garlic clove
- 1 Low-salt beef stock cube
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Mixed dried herbs
- 500g / 1lb 2oz Passata (strained tomatoes)
- 500g / 1lb 2oz Lean minced (ground) beef

Preparation

1. Over medium heat, add 500g / 1lb 2oz lean minced beef to a dry saucepan. Break it up with a wooden spoon and cook for around 4 minutes until browned.
2. Meanwhile, bring a pan of water to boil and add 250g / 9oz dried pasta. Cook following the packet instructions.
3. Add 2 tsp smoked paprika, 1 crushed garlic clove, crumbled beef stock cube, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, and 1 tsp mixed dried herbs to the browned mince. Stir well.
4. Add 500g / 1lb 2oz passata to the mince, then fill the empty carton with 150ml / 5fl oz of tap water, swirl, and add to the pan. Stir and let simmer for 10 minutes.
5. Once pasta is cooked, drain and add to the sauce. Stir and serve with green vegetables.

Good to know

The sauce will keep in the fridge for a couple of days or freeze for up to 3 months. Defrost with extra water until piping hot and stir through freshly cooked pasta. Suitable for children from 6 months.
